The University of Central Asia (UCA) is seeking to recruit two energetic, mid-career Senior Research Scientists, with proven experience of team-based research and/or development projects, generally interdisciplinary in nature, focused on climate change adaptation. The successful applicants will also have specific training and expertise/experience in related fields such as environmental management, natural or earth sciences, development studies, regional planning, etc.
1) Position 1 – Research Scientist in Climate Change Adaptation and Integrated Land and Resources Management
2) Position 2 – Research Scientist in Long-term Socioecological Systems Research and Environmental Monitoring

The Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN) in Ottawa, Canada is seeking an innovative entry-level mineralogist to conceive, design, and conduct a program of independent and collaborative hypothesis-based research; to publish results of scientific research; to provide advice on the development and use of the CMN's mineralogy collections and to work with other museum staff on the development and production of exhibits.
The candidate will be expected to undertake significant outreach and use various media to actively promote mineralogy research and the Earth Gallery at the CMN to the public.
