Biography
Cassady is a postdoctoral research fellow with the Mineral Deposit Research Unit (MDRU) at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Her current research is focused on porphyry exploration and vectoring in BC with a specific focus on mineralogy and mineral chemistry from LIBS data. Before joining MDRU, she spent 4 years with Corescan interpreting hyperspectral data as well as developing new geometallurgical and geotechnical applications of data collected using Corescan's automated core logging technology outputs. In 2018, she completed her PhD in geometallurgy with the CODES group at the University of Tasmania in Australia developing methods for geotechnical rock mass and gain size assessment using multi-sensor systems and various microanalytical methods.
