Ronnie is one of the foremost experts on oxygen and carbon cycling in the oceans and ocean sediments. He will speak on some of his recent discoveries on the biology and biogeochemistry of the Hadal zone—the deepest part of the ocean, which extends from 6 to 11 km below sea level. Ronnie's research is strongly technology driven and he is an engaging speaker.
