Total-field aeromagnetics data were acquired over this and adjacent regions as part of the exploration program under the direction of Falconbridge. The figure below shows the total field magnetic anomaly data used in the inversion. It was obtained by subtracting observed total magnetic field strength from the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF). Note the contouring scale (in nanoTeslas) is not linear at the high end. This is necessary to ensure detail both at the low end, and in the highly magnetic region of outcropping. The inducing field direction is I=83 degrees, D=-32 degrees, and the survey was flown with terrain clearance of 40 metres.
