Every course is a work in progress. We are interested to learn how we can provide the most effective learning experience for students with a broad range of backgrounds, experience, and interests. Therefore, by registering in ATSC 413, you are also participating in research intended to enhance this specific course, as well as the quality of learning and related sciences worldwide. In the interest of research, you may be exposed to minor variations in the course materials. We will be analyzing the data in aggregate; no information that personally identifies you will ever be revealed.
LEARNING ANALYTICS
Learning analytics includes the collection and analysis of data about learners to improve teaching and learning. This course will be using Canvas, Piazza, and Zoom, which capture data about your activity and provide information that can be used to improve the quality of teaching and learning. In this course, your instructor and TA may use analytics data to view overall class progress, and track individual students’ progress in order to assess participation in the course.
